To My Mommy Dearest™

It’s been a while since i last posted. I know. To be honest, I haven’t found the strength to do it, yet. But as i was listening through the playlist of my iPod, i stumbled over a song titled “Storm” sung by Jason Wade from Lifehouse. It was actaully a song written by Jason himself about his walk and relationship with God. But what reminded me most, was listening to it with my mom in my car whenever i drove her around. She hated me listening to rock music, so i added this song to my playlist to please her. And yeah, she really liked this song.
Playing it over and over again really brought back a lot of memories. Memories about my Godmum Julie Abigail. My mom. Everything.
How long have I

I always believed it’s a phase that everyone will have to go through, and I’d consider it a privilege to go through it. Being able to know that you had someone who had such undying love for you. But ever since her passing, i’ve been asking myself every night. Why has it to be now for me?
I guess i gotta give it to God this time around. Thank you for taking her to a better place. Thank you for bringing her into my life.

I understand your feelings. . I’ve lost someone precious to me too. He just passed away last year. Till now i still cant get over it. But that is part of life. Be strong , She won’t be happy if she see you in this state. Stay strong yea (: U still have friends around u that care for you.

Indeed its every phase that ppl will go through. Ppl tends to regret when some1 pass away. N ppl dont really spend time with their loves one till they left, then ppl will think that y didnt i treasure the time spend when she’s there for me. Glad that u have overcome it. joshua, life is full of ups and downs.. the unexpected downs hits the hardest, especially when in involves losing a loved one =*(
take heart, joshua.. there is always hope, and tomorrow will be a better day.. time heals all wounds.. i experience this first hand losing a sibling to cancer.
here’s one of my favorite verses, especially dedicated for you:
do not worry about your life… Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? – MATHEW 6:25-34
take a minit or two, to ponder on the words a lil… it makes total sense. if the birds out there dont even worry about ‘morrow, why should we?
u may feel million pieces of pins and needles piercing in your heart now… grief as u may, cry as u may, let it out… talk to someone close about your hurt, your sadness… a counseling therapist may be of someone u might want to turn to. pray with your loved ones, pray alone… pray unceasingly.

I truly empathize your situation, cos my mum left me when I was 20 and her death came sudden too. I do not know what to do as I was still schooling. I felt loss and couldnt believe that she will never come back again. Regardless of how people tried to console me then, I was never consoled! I felt life was unfair(in fact now i still do), my mum was a gentle and nice-tempered woman. SHe had worked hard all her life and has yet to experience good life, why must she be taken away so soon?!!! I was indignant about everything and everyone around me even the ‘ONE’ above. But after years, I gradually understood that everything happens for a reason, probably she is better off to leave me then than to suffer from anything now. We could not change our destiny but we could choose to face it strongly. Come what may! No other obstacles will be tougher than this if you manage to clear this stage of your life.

Hi Joshua, I am sorry for what happened to your mum. I truly understand what you are going through because I lost my mum too. Be strong of of good courage. I do not know if your mum was a Christian because you said you enjoyed that song and I pray that you will let the Lord Jesus come into your life to help you. He will fill that emptiness within you which no one can. He did that for me too. God loves you very much. Be strong and continue to live for your mum and for the plans God has for you.

we do not know each other, but like you, I’ve lost my mom to a terrible diesease..hence i feel like i know u.
That was 6 yrs ago..I would like to share with u my thought..The thing is, many people would say time will heal all wound and hurt. I would like you to know that time will not heal the wound but it will bring you good memories of the time you have together with her. ‘cos in the 1st place She did not leave behind a wound for you to heal, she left behind her love and this love still exist and live with you.
This is what I learn over the past 6 yrs.. I still think and dream of her every now and then..death ends a life but the love and relationship continues..

I can understand how you feel now as I have been through. Few years back, my mother passed away(die of cancer) when I still haven’t got over my father’s death. It have been years but honestly, it is easy to let go…I think it really take a long time…..But please brace yourself up and talk to your closed ones whenever you feel down. I am really sorry for you. My little twin female cousins both 13 years old just lost their mum too. It is honestly very difficult for them right now to handle life, cause they are young. So if i was you.. I would be glad that my mum was able to stay with me and see me grow up to a fine young man..

Do be STRONG coz’ yr dearest mum can sense it if you r down, Dun let her be disappointed ! I do have my own blog actually more for my son (Yes…I’m 40y/o homemaker) ended up blogging abt my late mum……if have some spare time, read my blog.

Joshua, heard about your loss and hope you’ll be able to get over it soon. i understand it is not easy getting over it because i’ve lost a loved one too. but your family is needing you and you’ve got to stand on strong. i believe you’ll be able to pick yourself up! 2009 has not been a good year.
My granddad passed away just right after chinese new year and lucky us, we get to celebrate his last early birthday. I cried when i saw him laying on the bed, breathing hardly. Suffering. I know it’s too early for you. Especially it’s ur mom. Dearest mom. The most precious person in everyone’s life. I hope you’ll move on and be strong. She’s proud of you, having ur own career and a independent guy. Your mommy don’t want to see you unhappy. Your family, friends and last but not least ur fans will always be by ur side. Including me.

I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. I know how it feels to have lost a loved one, having lost my 8-year-old boy in a motor accident two years ago. They say time will heal all pain. The truth is, time doesn’t really heal; but healing takes time. But it won’t go away completely. If you are a believer, look up to God for strength.
